Uncle Geoff was born a week before my mother so we were always close. He was a wonderful man and always so welcoming and a huge part of the family. He will be missed by us all.

What an absolutely incredible man and to reach 101, it was an honour to know such a true gentleman. Even though I only knew him for a short time it felt like he’d always been a part of my life.
Thinking of you and all your family at this time.
I have to honestly say that If the world was full of Geoff’s it would be the most beautiful place to be. Lots of love to you all x

Geoff was a wonderful man. Celesta loved her correspondence with him over the years, and her children were happy to tag into this special friendship. His ability to write so generously, thoughtfully, and evocatively was a special gift that came through in all the letters, from his first youthful correspondence to his later email notes. We remember his queries about "what dances are the young people doing" in one of his earliest letters, and the later notes about missing his home while away in the military. He reminded us of the joy to be found in family, nature, and everyday play. One of the last mail notes he sent included a copy of a grandson's photography magazine. He was so proud of his family. I hope you and your family find comfort together, as you celebrate Geoff's life.
